Welcome to 1st EPAL Karditsa
Welcome and Introduction
The headmaster of the school welcomed the participants to the school. In the amphitheatre area the students 1st EPAL with students of Music School of Karditsa gave the participants a concert with contemporary and traditional songs accompanying the dances of the folklore group “en Choro”.

Presentation of integration of new technologies into classroom
At the ceremony room the participants watched a video which was created from teachers and students from 1st EPAL, about the integration of new technologies into classroom and a second one about the program meetings so far.

After the coffee break Mr Papaioannou and his student team, presented the seismograph of 1st EPAL of Karditsa, a project awarded by the President of the Republic.

After lunch, the students were acquainted with each other and were divided into 5 multinational groups by choosing some available colours. Each group under Mrs M.Malliora and Mrs I.Koutouva supervision dealed with a different European value (Indignity, Freedoms, Citizens’ Rights, Solidarity) and constructed their own poster using the appropriate available material (magazines, an EU Values video on the screen, chapters of each Value , files stored in PC).
The five creations were posted in common view on a black board, suitable shaped next to project corner and were presented to the participants.

After the coffee break the workshop started and the participants of two countries (Greece, Estonia) presented their two Literature lessons they had prepared using PowToon. The participants watched the lessons and gave feedback to each lesson by using apps like Kahoot, Quizziz, Sokrative.

Workshop: Presentations of literature’s lessons part 2
On Tuesday morning the Italian group and the two German groups, in a workshop, presented the literature lessons they had prepared using PowToon. The participants watched the lessons and gave feedback to each lesson by using apps like Kahoot, Quizziz, Sokrative.

After the coffee break the participants departed for visit the Apollo Temple, next to Mitropolis village, where they could learn the history and the construction elements of the Temple by an authorized officer.
Subsequently, through an enchanting journey they visited the ΄Korona’ Monastery and guided by a monk. They enjoyed the view on the Thessalian plateau and the natural environment.
The participants had a sightseeing tour of Plastiras Lake. Next journey station was at Plastiras Lake Dam where they informed of its construction and importance for the region by the headmaster of the hosting school Mr. S.Pappas.
On the around the lake tour they visited Pezoula Plaz, a village by the lake coast, for taking photos and enjoy the marvelous view to both mountains and lake.

They took their lunch in Kazarma hotel, built with stones and wood and with respect for the environment of this area. They tasted traditional food, with local products in a careful dinning room with beautiful view.
Last visit was at ΄Filonikos΄, a leisure and horse riding Centre with a mini zoo (lama, camel, sheep etc), that students liked a lot.

Trikala and Meteora
On the third day the partners visited Trikala area. Crossing the plain, they have been informed for the agricultural activities of the region.

Arriving at Trikala town they proceeded to Environmental Education Centre Pertouli-Trikala on foot, through ΄ Varousi ΄a preserved district, admiring the renovated buildings and the plenty of old churches. At the Environmental Education Centre they were informed of the work done by the Centre and shown energy-saving and mild energy-related constructions, with the participation of students, and attended a workshop in new Technologies in teaching all that in the class.

Visit to World Heritage Monument of Meteora
Consequently, they visited the monastic community of Meteora , a monument of world cultural heritage, protected by UNESCO. They have a general tour of Meteora and guided at the Barlaam Monastery and the Grand Meteoro Monastery.

After having lunch they visited AKETH. An Educational Center witch deals with Robotics and European Programs. There we attended and had a workshop in Robotics.

Animoto
Workshop: Presentation of Animoto software and practice
On the fourth day, the partners arrived at school and the students participate in the workshop in which they learnt the Animoto, a cloud-based video creation service. The participants worked at Animoto to learn to use this app. They were supervised by Maria Malliora and each group had a teacher who helped them if necessary.

After the lunch at Technical Institute restaurant, the partners had a presentation of new technologies into ‘’Wood and Furniture Design Technology Department’’ by Mr. Karastergiou, professor at the university and also visited the labs and facilities of the university where they had the opportunity to have a workshop in a 3D printing and to create an object with the logo of 1st EPAL of Karditsa.

After that, the participants went back to school. The students formed groups and created in a workshop a video based on Animoto with their memories of their visit to Greece. At the same time the teachers had a project meeting.

Last day
On the final day the participants visited the Archeological Museum and the Municipal Art Gallery of Karditsa.

After that, all the participants went to school where the students present their Animoto video.
After the presentation of all the videos which were created during the LTTA, the teachers and students signed the participant’s lists and signature lists. The evaluation forms were filled in electronically.

In the afternoon a project meeting took place in which the teachers planned the next meeting in Bensheim. At the same time parallel activities for the students took place in which they learnt traditional Greek dances.

Certifications ceremony and Farewell dinner
During the final evening, to the participants were given the certificates. The headmaster of 1st EPAL of Karditsa gave to each teacher and student souvenirs and traditional local products to remind them in the training activity and the project.
